Earlier this spring, CVS launched an interactive app to offer users a unique, entirely digital drugstore experience. This mobile app offers a personalized user experience with many easy-to-use features, including a mobile pharmacy, mobile shopping capabilities, and more. The pharmacy feature allows users to easily refill prescriptions by scanning the bar code on their prescription container. It also offers a prescription management program and a drug information section that includes a pill identifier and drug interaction checker. The app’s MinuteClinic feature makes it easy for users to see if their insurance company is accepted at their nearest MinuteClinic (located inside certain CVS locations), provides access to a comprehensive list of services, allows users to check store hours, and more. Nowadays, most people are looking for a job that’s high in demand. But what about finding a job you can look forward to each day? Pharmacy Technicians get to help people every day, which can be highly rewarding. In a pharmacy setting, Pharmacy Technicians provide much-needed patient care, all while keeping track of important, sensitive information. In school, technicians will not only learn how to prepare medications and fill prescriptions, but they will receive training on how to check for drug incompatibilities. Any student working to become a Pharmacy Technician should enjoy working with people and have excellent skills in customer service.  Working under a licensed Pharmacist, the job often requires you to discuss medications with the patient, including explaining dosage, drug side effects, and possible drug interactions, and also address any other questions or concerns the patient may have.
