All
Arizona College of Allied Health graduates are eligible to sit for
national certification in their field of study. Arizona
College encourages all graduates to gain national certification
in recognition of their certified skills and qualifications. These
certifications are not required for most entry-level jobs; however
many employers prefer to hire certified applicants. Certification
also increases employment opportunities and mobility between states.
The following organizations recognize the testing eligibility of
our graduates.
- CMA-
Certified Medical Assistant. This examination is offered
through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- CPhT-
Certified Pharmacy Technician. This examination is offered
through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- CCA-
Certified Coding Associate. This examination is offered
through American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
- NCTMB-
Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
This examination is offered through National Certification Board
for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
- RMA- Registered Medical Assistant.
The Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a national certification offered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- RPT- Registered Phlebotomy Technician.
The Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) is a national certification offered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- The Pharmacy Technician Program and the Massage Therapy Program
are occupations that are licensed occupations in the State of Arizona.
