About Our Medical Billing and Coding Classes
To assist our medical billing and coding students in their success, Arizona College offers industry-specific training on skills and knowledge that medical billers and coders use every day such as:
- Medical records maintenance and relevant administrative skills.
- Specific billing requirements for insurance companies, government entities, and various health care facilities, like hospitals and outpatient clinics.
- Medical coding procedures.
Online/In-Person for first 10 weeks, next 15 weeks are fully online, last 5 weeks consists of an externship in a clinical environment or on the job training.
- Computerized medical billing systems and online medical billing.
- Medical terminology.
Arizona College’s Medical Billing & Coding diploma program features an off-campus, 5-week clinical externship that provides you with real-world experience in the field of medical information. Including the externship, the program length is approximately 30 weeks (6 quarters). All medical billing and coding courses are taught by experienced faculty.
