When it comes to studying the field of healthcare online, students have a ton of options available to them. Wading through the wide array of websites, schools, and private institutions available online can be a daunting task. There’s another problem with studying healthcare online: no hands-on experience. Helping people within a career in the medical field is a hands-on job. Nursing, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Massage Therapy, Pharmacy Technician—these are real jobs that deal with real people in unique settings. If you’re going to be working with real people, shouldn’t the training you receive in an allied health career be hands-on using the technology you’d use in a hospital, doctor’s office, or dentist’s office?
Arizona College also offers open lab opportunities where students can gain additional experience under the supervision of one of their instructors. Students can increase their knowledge by performing finger sticks, venipuncture, injections, and real-world experience with high-fidelity manikins just to name a few.
Should you choose to study at Arizona College, you won’t just be logging into some online allied health training program. You’ll be in a real classroom with a real teacher and other real students gaining hands-on training. This offers you the opportunity to ask questions and get answers from a teacher in real time. You’ll be able to work with other students to explore problems and formulate solutions in a collaborative learning environment that just isn’t possible when learning allied health online.
The choice is yours.
