Arizona College is pleased to announce that we will be observing Memorial Day, in a unique way, on Thursday, May 22nd (for evening students/staff) and Friday, May 23rd (for day students/staff). All Arizona College Veterans are encouraged to wear a t-shirt representing their branch of service. Any student or staff member who would like to observe Memorial Day, but was not in the armed forces, and who donates $2 (which will be given to the United States Veterans Initiative) will be able to wear a red t-shirt on Thursday, May 22nd (for evening students/staff) and Friday, May 23rd (for day students/staff).
Once thought of as a luxury service, massage therapy has recently been redefined. Massage therapy offers a wide variety of proven health and medical benefits vs. just a “pampering” experience. These days, massage therapy is viewed upon as a medical modality, which is being offered in various settings outside the typical spa. Businesses, clinics, hospitals and even airports are now offering massage therapy services! Massage therapy is a very rewarding career, often with a flexible work schedule.
It is getting warmer outside and turning from spring to summer very quickly…its almost Memorial Day, where many people will spend the weekend lounging by the pool, at the beach or cooking BBQ! Along with all fun in the sun that summer brings, it also brings sunburns. Sunburns may seem like just a temporary irritation, but can cause serious permanent damage, especially over time. Sunburns can lead to premature aging, sunspots and skin cancer. Children are especially vulnerable to sunburns, as their skin is very delicate and sensitive.
Arizona College is thankful to all Veterans, especially to those Veterans who have chosen to attend Arizona College to achieve their educational goals. We are continually evaluating our services and process available to better serve our Veteran students with resources both on and off campus. Mr. Dennis Hobgood is our Agency Director, and he is the contact for any student Veteran that might need some assistance or has any questions.
