Allied Health Professions Week 2012

Uncategorized

From November 4-10, 2012, Allied Health Professionals Week will be celebrated nationally to honor healthcare professionals working in the allied health field across the country.

Allied healthcare professionals include Medical Assistants, Dental Assistants, Massage Therapists, and Pharmacy Technicians, among others. Each specialized allied health profession has its own day or week during the year that recognizes its particular specialty – and Allied Health Professions Week is a time to celebrate all of them collectively.

In addition, Allied Health Professionals Week exists to promote, celebrate, and raise public awareness and appreciation for all of those in the healthcare industry that do not include doctors and nurses. It also serves to recognize and thank every individual in this growing career sector for their contribution to healthcare along with their commitment and hard work.
