Arizona College Observes Memorial Day 2014

Uncategorized

Arizona College is pleased to announce that we will be observing Memorial Day, in a unique way, on Thursday, May 22nd (for evening students/staff) and Friday, May 23rd (for day students/staff).  All Arizona College Veterans are encouraged to wear a t-shirt representing their branch of service.

Any student or staff member who would like to observe Memorial Day, but was not in the armed forces, and who donates $2 (which will be given to the United States Veterans Initiative) will be able to wear a red t-shirt on Thursday, May 22nd (for evening students/staff) and Friday, May 23rd (for day students/staff).

Arizona College acknowledges the importance of Veteran’s and their family members.  We have Veteran Steering Committees established at both Glendale and Mesa campuses.  These meetings provide an opportunity to share ideas and resources, as well as for Veterans to provide feedback to the college from the veteran’s point of view.  They are held every 5 weeks and all Veteran students are encouraged to attend.  If you would like more information regarding these meetings or other resources for Veterans, please contact Dennis Hobgood, Director of Agency Business Development at: dhobgood@azcollegeold.local.

Just a reminder, Arizona College will be closed in observance of Memorial Day, on Monday, May 26th, 2014.

Make a change in your future, and Contact Arizona College today to learn more about our degree and diploma programs offered at our Glendale and Mesa campuses.
