Mesa Campus: Best Places to Grab a Bite

Uncategorized

Arizona College’s new Mesa campus opened its doors in January to allied health students in the East Valley. The campus itself is conveniently located just outside the Downtown Mesa area, which boasts excellent arts and culture, entertainment, and shopping destinations, as well as an array of delicious dining options.

For students looking for a place to grab a bite near campus, whether it’s a snack before class or a sit-down meal afterward, check out some of these popular dining spots within walking distance or a quick drive from school:

Thai Spices – Thai Spices features a wide selection of dine-in meals, as well as take-out options for when you’re in a rush and on the go. This Mesa eatery offers an excellent value while serving up traditional Thai dishes.

UnPhogettable – UnPhogettable is a popular Vietnamese restaurant offering delicious pho, generous portions, and excellent service.

The Woodshed II – This popular restaurant opened its doors in 1979. With great food and drinks, a casual atmosphere, and walls covered with sports memorabilia, this is a great place for sports enthusiasts to unwind after class, grab a bite, and catch the game.

Asian Café Express – Arizona’s first Hong Kong-style café, Asian Café Express serves authentic Chinese, Southeast Asian, and Western-influenced cuisine. Featuring more than 300 dishes, this restaurant features everything from wonton noodle soup to pork chop baked rice.

For students who just need to refuel, there is a Starbucks within walking distance of campus on West 1st Street and Dobson. And for those who like to shop local, every Friday morning on Center Street, just south of University Drive, the Mesa Community Farmer’s Market offers a great spot to pick up some locally grown produce, tasty baked goods, and countless other goodies.
