2022-’23 Military Friendly School Gold Award

Press Release

Arizona College of Nursing is proud to announce that we have been selected for the 2022-2023 Military Friendly Schools Gold Award. 282 schools were awarded gold level designation for their leading practices and program outcomes measured by retention, graduation, job placement, and other categories for all students and specifically for student veterans.  All colleges on the list represent the top 15% of U.S. colleges, universities, and trade schools that are doing the most to educate America’s veterans.

To determine a score for each school, the G.I. Jobs Military Friendly Schools team conducts exhaustive research. Research is based on criteria including military support on campus, academic credibility, percentage of military students, academic credit for military training, flexibility, veteran graduation rates, government approvals, tuition assistance, student surveys, employment rates, and military spouse policies.

Arizona College of Nursing recognizes that students in the military and veterans bring maturity and diverse experiences to the classroom. A number of financial benefits exist for military students, including:

  1. Military students who are called to active service are able to return to school without penalty.
  2. Participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program
  3. Participation in the MyCAA program for military spouses.

The Guide to Military Friendly Schools was established in 2009 by Victory Media – the 2022-2023 list includes more than 1,800 schools that offer military students the best programs, services, discounts, scholarships, clubs, networking, and staff.
