National Hospital Week

National Hospital Week is just around the corner! From May 12 through May 18, health professionals everywhere will be celebrating the nation’s largest healthcare event. National Hospital Week is a celebration of history, technology, and the dedicated professionals that make healthcare facilities across America renowned for being excellent places to receive care and treatment. National Hospital Week is also a time to recognize hardworking hospital staff, and to promote the mission of health and well-being.

With celebrations beginning in 1921, National Hospital Week began when a magazine editor in Chicago suggested that more information about hospitals might help to alleviate public fears about the healthcare system. Since then, the celebration has succeeded in promoting both trust and goodwill among members of the public.

Hospitals across the country are encouraged to plan activities throughout the week to recognize and celebrate the quality care that their staffs provide.

All professionals in the healthcare industry are welcome to celebrate National Hospital Week – from Medical Assistants to Massage Therapists, Pharmacy Technicians to Phlebotomists.
