Many schools across the country offer either a Registered Nursing program or a Licensed Practical Nursing program. So what’s the difference between the two? The biggest difference is the length of each program, the types of classes required, and the degree or certificate you will earn upon completion of either Nursing program. Glendale Campus Remodel

Over the last few months, Arizona College has been in the process of remodeling our Glendale campus.  We have been in this location over ten years and it’s nice to freshen up the look and feel of the campus, based on the design of the Mesa campus. We updated all of our labs, expanded the student lounge, added classroom space, and created better areas for students and staff to work. The main lobby has new stainless steel and glass doors and has been completely opened up, resulting in more light and open space!  We also moved our faculty, student services, and career services into one area to better serve our students and facilitate work among our staff. At the very least, each room got a fresh coat of paint and new floors – many rooms got much more.  It was a lot of work on everyone’s part, and a little…

Meet the Dean of Nursing

Arizona College is pleased to introduce Rose Saunders, EdD, RN, CNE, as the Dean of Nursing for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Arizona College. Dr. Saunders is responsible for administration and oversight of all aspects of the Nursing program including faculty, curriculum, students, resources and program evaluation and has been leading the nursing program for the last several months.  Please take a moment to get to know our Dean of Nursing! Dr. Saunders received a diploma in nursing from Jameson Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle, PA. She continued her formal education at the University of Pittsburgh where she earned both a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and a master’s degree (MN) with specialization in nursing of children. She later received a doctoral degree in Higher Education (EdD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She began her nursing career as a staff nurse at Children’s…
