Banner Health Foundation gratefully acknowledges Arizona College of Nursing for supporting Banner’s youngest patients through the Play Zone at Diamond Children’s Medical Center and the Pulse of the City Soiree, Banner’s signature annual fundraising gala. Their support for these two worthy initiatives will ensure a bright future for Arizona’s children facing illness or injury.
We recently sat down with their team to learn what inspired their support of Banner Health Foundation. Describe the ways that Arizona College of Nursing has found a meaningful impact to support Banner Heath?
By aligning Arizona College of Nursing with the Banner Health Foundation, we have been able to impact our communities to a greater extent than we could alone. 
Banner has been a tremendous educational partner for our students and employer for our graduates. Students, faculty, and alumni have told us Banner is a great place to work and thrive. They value the investments Banner makes to support advancements in care and health education. At Arizona College of Nursing, we are advocates for nurses and the nursing profession. We want to ensure our students have the resources to have a rewarding career without jeopardizing their physical and mental well-being. Banner Health is finding innovative ways to support the healing and recovery of our healthcare professionals serving on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe it is crucial to support our current and future nurses. This initiative is very meaningful to us.
How does this partnership reflect Arizona College of Nursing’s philanthropic goals?
Arizona College of Nursing is passionate about ensuring the organizations we support contribute to our communities and to the lives of others. Health care is at the forefront of everything we do; therefore, supporting a partner that shares a similar focus was an easy decision. The Banner Health Foundation’s support for leading-edge research, excellent patient care, and providing for underserved communities are shared passions for our staff, students, and instructors.
What advice can Arizona College of Nursing share with other corporations considering investing in Banner?
When you consider making a gift, choose an organization that supports the causes you and your team care about. For us, it was an easy decision as the values of our two organizations closely align.
