Evening & Blended Classes

You’re already busy, so why disrupt your daily schedule? Most of our general education classes—the first 4 semesters of your BSN program—meet on campus only 1 night a week and let you finish the rest of your coursework online, right from the comfort of your own home.

To help you earn your degree faster, you’ll complete each general education course in just 8 weeks. After reaching your nursing courses, you’ll return to a standard 16-week class, spending more time on campus developing the skills that will matter most for your nursing career.

Learn in High-Tech Sim Labs

In the Mesa SimLabs, classroom learning comes to life. Inside these simulated healthcare settings, you can apply your new skills to care for life-like mannequins featuring vital signs, physical movements, and verbal responses controlled remotely by faculty.

These high-tech SimLabs let you practice in a setting where it’s safe to learn from your mistakes as you progress from the basics to advanced nursing scenarios. Inside the lab, SimView video captures your activity, so that you can later study everything from your bedside manner to the results of your patient care, with input from experienced nursing faculty.

Complete with industry-standard equipment and supplies, the SimLabs in Mesa can replicate hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, acute care, schools, community centers, and even a patient’s bedroom in the case of our SimLab Apartment.

I was an army veteran working full-time in a call center doing the same job I did for several years prior to the army. Arizona College helped me by providing me the opportunity to earn my bachelor’s in nursing without a waiting list. I have enjoyed the small classrooms and individual attention professors are always willing to give.
