Class Sessions Begin Six Times Per Year
In our California nursing program, new general education sessions begin about every eight weeks, and new nursing major cohorts start three times per year. Matthew Gibbs came to Arizona College of Nursing – Tucson in 2019. Matthew has served in various leadership roles in education for over a decade, that include; admissions, career services, marketing, and campus operations. Matthew was drawn to education so he could work in a field that makes a positive impact on the community, while helping people to achieve their educational goals. Â
As Executive Director of Enrollment Services, Matthew oversees the daily operations of the campus and student admissions.Â

Lisa Jordan serves as the BSN Program Manager for the AZC Ontario campus. Prior to joining Arizona College in 2021, she served as a student advisor for over 8 years. As a first-generation student herself, Lisa is committed to creating an inclusive campus environment for all through programing.
Lisa holds a MS in education, with a focus on social justice in higher education at the University of Redlands. As BSN program manager, Lisa oversees campus scheduling, and educates students on University policy, procedures, and program requirements.

Prior to joining Arizona College in 2022, Dr. Tatum served as the External Field Instructor for the Master of Social Work program at USC for 7 years. She has also worked within academic leadership roles at DeVry University, Ivy Bridge Insitute in Bejing, China and The Los Angeles Film School where she provided leadership for the offices of Academic Affairs and Student Succes.
As Dean of General Education, Dr. Tatum oversees Gen. Ed. academic operations of the campus, faculty training and development, student support and engagement.

Julie Jordan joined AZCN- Ontario in 2023 bringing with her 23 years’ experience in nursing education and leadership. Julie’s educational background includes a Master’s of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in nursing education from University of Phoenix. Throughout her career she has held various leadership roles in higher education, including serving as the Academic Dean of Nursing and the National Simulation Lab Director at a University in Utah.
Most recently, Julie played a pivotal role in role in establishing a nursing school in the greater Los Angeles area, as the founding Dean she over saw four campuses offering LVN and RN programs.
In terms of her clinical experience, Julie has a solid foundation in ICU/CCU, emergency room, pediatric and obstetric nursing. Her expertise and dedication have earned her positions on several advisory boards and is a proud member of American Nurses Association (ANA). Beyond her professional accomplishments, Julie treasures her role as a mother to five children, alongside her supportive husband. With nine grandchildren and more on the way, she finds joy in giving back to the nursing education field she believes in so strongly.

Our AZCN Ontario campus provides a welcoming environment for students looking for a nursing degree in a vibrant city.

AZCN campuses are focused on student support and collaboration, so we have designed our spaces with you in mind. We understand that students who pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing sometimes have an associate degree from a community college or clinical experience from a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program or a CNA program from another registered nursing program. If you do have prior general educational credits, you may be able to transfer those credits. Transferring credits can get you on track to complete your program in less time and at a lower cost.
