Criminal convictions can affect an individual during the licensure or certification application process and may affect an individual’s employment options after licensure or certification by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Arizona College of Nursing potential students and enrolled students at the Virginia Campus location must review the following information from the Virginia Code related to implications of criminal convictions on the ability of a nursing program graduate to become licensed as a nurse in Virginia: Virginia Code Section 54.1-3007 and Virginia Board of Nursing guidance document: 90-10(revised Feb 2017) and Guidance Document: 90-55 (revised Dec 2020).
