The latest addition to our offering of health career training programs, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum at Arizona College prepares graduates with coursework that focuses on knowledge, theory, leadership, ethics, and practical competencies of Nursing. Upon graduating, students who have completed the program will have the expertise, confidence, and skills necessary to sit for the NCLEX-RN, which is the next step for those who desire a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse. The training facilities and laboratories here at Arizona College feature a range of equipment and settings that include hospital beds, stretchers, and medical instrumentation that are used within the field.
Those who pursue a career as a Registered Nurse will have the opportunity to work in a variety of environments, including hospitals, physicians’ offices, outpatient care centers, long-term care facilities, and more. Nurses have a wide range of responsibilities, including managing patient care, providing patient education, offering emotional support to patients and family members, and much more.
At Arizona College, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program includes 120 credit hours (with 50 lower division and 70 upper division) over the course of nine semesters. Students in the Nursing program will also complete 1,000 hours of clinical rotations. During the program, students will receive first-hand Nursing experience in clinical settings within specialties such as pediatrics, mental health, and obstetrics, to name a few.
