Interested in becoming a Medical Assistant? At Arizona College, there are two program options open to you.

Our Medical Assisting diploma program takes three quarters, or 30 weeks, to complete, and includes on-campus courses along with a five-week clinical externship. The Medical Assisting associate degree program takes six quarters to complete, or 60 weeks, and includes on-campus instruction, additional general education courses, and a five-week clinical externship.

Whether you decide to pursue a diploma or a degree, upon completion of your chosen program you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare environments, including administrative and clinical settings, doctors’ offices, and hospitals. Both the Medial Assisting degree and diploma programs at Arizona College employ a variety of training methods to prepare students with all the front office and back office skills needed to perform the tasks that keep the offices of physicians and other healthcare practitioners running smoothly. With everything from hands-on laboratory training to group discussions, students will build the foundation they need to be successful in this highly rewarding field.
