Tonya Breymier came to Arizona College in 2022 with over 30 years’ experience as a nurse, spending 17 of those years in higher education. She previously served as a campus president for Chamberlain University, BSN program director for the University of Dayton, and associate dean for Indiana University East. Her extensive practice background includes obstetrics, PACU, telemetry, homecare, community health, and leadership. Dr. Breymier is an accomplished nurse, educator, and leader. She has presented nationally and internationally and has many publications with a focus on simulation education. She has also been the recipient of many grants, fellowships, and teaching and service awards throughout her career. Dr. Breymier believes in community service and has worked with many organizations to support their mission and work.
As Dean of Nursing, Tonya oversees and manages the operations and support of the nursing students and faculty while embracing an inclusive environment and respecting “life-work” balance.

Before joining Arizona College of Nursing in 2023, Angela worked as an Administrator for a local school district, where she ensured compliance with state rules and regulations, as well as built programs that supported out-of-school time learning and helped students build social-emotional skills. Prior to working in public education, Angela worked in the non-profit world for over a decade, holding various positions with a local branch of a national non-profit organization. She was ultimately responsible for all outcomes related to education, continuous quality improvement of programs, and management of federally funded grants.
As Academic Records Manager at AZCN, maintains student records, ensuring that all AZCN are on the path to success and on track to graduate. She is mission-focused and prides herself in being very student-centric.

Chris Chavez joined Arizona College of Nursing Southfield, MI in 2022, bringing over 18 years of community-minded leadership in higher education.
Chavez has an extensive background in academic operations management, student support, and community and international partnerships. Chavez has overseen the implementation of initiatives designed to enhance student experience, retention, and graduation outcomes. Chavez is committed to helping traditionally underserved students gain access to post-secondary education. Of special note, under his leadership, he initiated an innovative dual-enrollment, dual-credit program that allows Georgia high school students to earn a college associate degree while completing their last two years of high school, at no cost to the student or their family.

Prior to joining Arizona College in 2024, Kelly served as the Director of Learning Assistance at Miami University Regionals where she provided leadership for student success and first year experience courses, developmental course curriculum and faculty, placement testing, the tutoring and mentoring program, TRIO Upward Bound, TRIO Student Support Services, and many student success initiatives. Before serving in a leadership role at Miami University Regionals, Kelly was a mathematics instructor and academic advisor. All of Kelly’s previous roles were guided by her passion for providing equitable access to higher education and fostering student success.
As Dean of General Education, Kelly oversees the general education courses and faculty, and works with the rest of the Cincinnati team to help students achieve success in their journey to becoming a nurse.
